Mike:

Here are a couple of sites to check:

www.waterfront-news.com

This is the local Ft. Lauderdale free marine newspaper. It has a lot of docks
listed for rent. Click on dockage at the top of page.

http://miami.craigslist.org/brw

Craig's List for South Fl has 3 sub sites -- one for Dade, Broward (FTL), and
Palm Beach Counties. Go to BOATS and search for "docks for rent."

Between these two sites you will get a long list of docks. Be certain when
making the arrangements that you can live aboard--assuming you wish to. Most
of these listing are for docks behind homes and many do not allow Live
Aboards.

As a last resort there are Dock Rental Firms in the area that are brokers that
handle rentals for individuals. They will do much of the search work for
you. Their fee is normally paid by the dock owner but that generally
translates into higher dock rental charges. You can find a number of these
firms with a Google search.

Probably the least expensive "marina" dockage is with the City of Ft.
Lauderdale. They have 3 (at least) dockage locations plus a mooring field.

Good Luck,

Dan Stephens
