Pretty much the same test. You need to have the sea time on a "bigger" boat. 
They do get you for an extra course if you wish to have the masters I know 
quite  a few people went to sea school. All the courses I'm aware of just 
teach you to pass the test. Not a bad thing but really does degrade my 
feelings over the process.
