We have for sale a year 2007, like new, Mainship 34' Hardtop Trawler with
only 82 hours on the Yanmar optional 370hp turbo-diesel engine. We have not
used our boat for the six grandchildren as we thought we would. The Hardtop
model is the same 34 trawler without the flybridge; but the base price is
the same, because minus the flybridge, Mainship added a luxurious Captain's
chair in the salon, an overhead skyroof with automatic opener, and a fully
instrumented wood helm station with steering. On the flybridge model only
the upper helm station has standard instruments and steering. Aside from its
great looking lines, the main advantages of the Hardtop are no steps to the
flybridge if either partner has a problem with steps; less maintenance;
little wind resistance for better fuel economy; and access to marine areas
with low bridges that would otherwise be inaccessible with the flybridge
model. We are asking $235,000 for a boat that would list new for $325,000
