BST: Gulfstar 38MC, 2.5 gph at 8 knots

Time to sell my 38' and move up in size.  The Gulfstar 38MC is a sundeck
trawler with twin screw Perkins 4.236 naturally aspirated 85 hp engines.
Engines have 2011 hours. Cruise at 8 knots with a total fuel burn of 2.5 gph.

Full bottom job and hull paint (bottom dark black, hull light yellow)
performed in 2007.  New canvas, new aft deck headliner, 2 a/c units starboard
unit new - port unit professionally serviced/cleaned this month with no
repairs needed, new stove in 06, new carpet 07, new vhf's at upper and lower
stations with DCS, radar fully factory refurbished 07, gps with chip covering
Gulf of Mexico to Florida West Coast, new propane grill 08, all new batteries,
new helm chair, digital depth, Loran at lower station, both stations have full
instruments including lights for bilge activation, generator operating, fuel
filter and engine alarms, new dingy 9', 3.3 hp evinrude, 2 new throw buoys,
full flare kit, 5 fire extinguishers, separate full fire suppression system
for engine and generator room.  New salon furniture and new flat screen tv/dvd
mounted on the Port side and hooked to a digital directional antenna.  Ground
tackle includes a CQR 35, attached is 25' chain and 270' rode.  Pick up is
easy with an electric windlass which has its own battery.

Electricity is provided by 2 30amp 50' shore power cords.  Have all manuals
for engines, generator, electronics and mechanical equipment.  Dockside water
and cable t/v connections.

No outside teak.  This boat is very easy to maintain and very economical to
cruise.  Just returned from a 622 mile round trip from South Louisiana to
Orange Beach, AL area with actual fuel burn of 197 gals and run time 81 hours
for a fuel burn of 2.43 gph.  Trip was slowed by 6 lock openings, current in
the Mississippi River, bridges and no wake zones so average speed was 7.68
mph.

Manufactured by Gulfstar in the US, 1981.  Designer is R Lazarra, Length is
38', 45' with swim platform and bow pulpit.

This boat is fully equipped and ready to do the loop or just cruise in your
area.  Being sold to move up in size as my cruising family is growing.  Wife
and I have been cruising comfortably, often having another couple with us.
Boat is set up with forward double berth, head and shower.  Aft stateroom has
a very full double bed with head, shower and tub.  Plenty of storage
throughout.  Galley has microwave, apt size frig/freezer, stainless sink, new
Princess 3 burner electric stove and oven.  Drop down galley table makes up to
a double bed.

Boat is a real head turner.  Everywhere we stop the boat draws attention as
the light yellow hull with black trim and white decks and cabin is very
attractive and different from the typical all white boat.

Boat is being offered without a broker at this time.  Price without broker is
$89,000 firm.  Increase in price will occur once listed.
