BST: Installing a vent hood above my stove

We  have two large Vetus cowl vent/Dorades above the stove. 12V  muffin fans 
in each (one intake and one exhaust)  brings in fresh air and  creates outward 
flow when there's little wind. Works fine without a  hood.
