WHISTLER is a '79 MS-I that we have thoroughly enjoyed and is in great
shape. We've decided to move up slightly to accommodate our growing
family.  She was re-powered in '97 with the 200 hp Perkins and the
tranny was professionally rebuilt this past winter.  Cruise all day at
12 knots @ 2,750 rpm, WOT is a solid 15.5 knots @3000 rpm.  Fuel
consumption at 9-10 knots is ~1.8gph.  12 knots burns ~5gph.  Fuel
capacity is 220 gallons.  The interior has been completely
redone/upgraded over the past few winters with new teak floors, engine
hatches, helm, cabinetry, etc , Onan 7.5kw genset, high output battery
charger w/ five group 27 batteries, Reverse cycle 18,000 BTU A/C-heat,
new Flexsteal custom sofa bed, topside non-skid redone this past spring.
New Raymarine C120 multi-unit GPS chartplotter and new Raytheon
programmable VHF/hailer on bridge.  Full bridge and lower aft cockpit
Sunbrella enclosures.  Lots of gear and spare parts.  If interested,
