Clifts Yacht Brokers - Don Allin specifically. Found him to be arrogant and
pretty dismissive of the concerns I had of their listing of my Mainship.
Below is the body of the note I sent and his response. Guess he couldn't
lower himself to spend any time on my "cheap" listing? Took him about a week
to actually get around to looking at the boat and taking pics etc, then the
listing on yachtworld.com etc was totally bare bones, no details whatsoever,
hence me voicing my concerns
My e-mail to him
"I was just looking at the adverts posted on the web, and, quite frankly,
they are pretty uninspiring and give no info whatsoever. If I was looking
for a boat this would not atract my interest in the slightest. Care to
comment?
If you don't really care to list my boat and/or sell it please let me know.
By the way, a close friend of mine has just listed their boat for sale, over
a milliion $! I could not in good faith recommend your company."
His response
"Hi Mervyn,
It is obvious from your tone and attitude that you wiish to delist your boat
and terminate your contract with me and Clift's Marine Sales.
Please consider your boat officially delisted and you are free to list your
boat with whomever you wish."
