This is Nera's  best-selling WorldPhone. The PO had it  installed new in
1999.  I  removed it from the boat  because I have another marine telephone.
It
functions for  phone/fax/data using Inmarsat Mini-M and offers near-global
coverage. The  small (11"x 16") antenna dome maintains accurate satellite
tracking in the roughest conditions.
Consisting of a power supply, telephone unit, antenna, instruction  manual
and quick-reference card, this unit is as-new -- and in good working
condition.
The only thing "wrong" is that the handset's coiled cord is stretched  out.
Mount the antenna, plug the 40b antenna cable and the 10-32 volt DC power
cord into the phone and you're ready to communicate almost anywhere in the
world. There are connections on the back for a laptop, extension phone and  a
fax
machine. Please note that the antenna mount does not look like the angled
mount on Nera's web page. It is a short aluminum pipe (about 6") with a
horizontal aluminum mounting plate 4b x 4.5b drilled for B<b bolts. You
will  need a
provider such as Stratos.
