After a couple of inconvenient Racor filter change events I installed
a Reverso FPS-80 fuel polisher. It was the smallest (and least
expensive) I could find. It is available with or without a "magnetic
conditioner", I opted for it for the differential cost of $100. i like
it. It is a complete system with electronic timer. It runs 2 hours
daily. At 80 GPH it basically filters the entire tank every day and
I have had no fuel filter warnings since the installation. Maybe it is
coincidence, but I am much more comfortable. It fit pretty neatly in
the lazarette and is fed from the battery back there for my stern
thruster. Two very comforting systems.
