Hi, our tug is a year 2000 and it has windows and doors made by Western
Metals. I bought from them a few years some of the rubber seal material for
the doors.

I thought that the black windows and doors came from Western Metals and
not Diamond Seaglaze. Maybe Western was the sub on the deal??? What does the
factory say?

It seems that every 1999-2002 vintage Nordic Tug (and some others) that
have the black anodized windows and doors have the same problem. The black is
wearing off, runs black when wet, shows bare aluminum in places and the
doors turn a shade of purple etc.

Diamond Seaglaze have not demonstrated willing to help remedy the fault.
They merely say that the work was "sub contracted out" as if that cleared up
the issue.

The cost quoted to me to remedy the problem on my tug is over U$10,000.

I am looking to see if there is sufficient support among owners to start a
class action suit against Diamond Seaglaze.

If you are interested and would consider participating in this matter
please email me off list.

Thanks
