Subject: [Sentoa] Navigation program

You are probably looking for software to run on a windows machine but for the Mac users amongst us I would like to recommend MacENC. It is stable, simple, intuitive, and well supported by the developer. When you call for assistance you talk to the guy who wrote the program. It is inexpensive and you can run the free electronic charts provided by NOAA, both raster and vector.?

? I have been working on integrating my laptop into my navigation system because working with electronic charts on a laptop is superior to doing so on a tiny screen, and I have been having trouble with my multiplexor which acts as a bridge between laptop and NMEA 0183. I called MacENC and spoke with the developer (I don't know his name) and he told me it sounded like I might have a bad multiplexor and he sent me one to try that he happened to have laying around, he didn't charge me anything, and told me to return it when I figured out what the problem was. He doesn't even sell multiplexors. Service doesn't get any better than that IMHO. His web sight is http://www.gpsnavx.com/ and you can even download a free trial at his web sight. No..., I am not affiliated with him nor do I own stock, I just like his product and service.?
