[Sentoa] clips for screens on sliding windows and clips for holding up the tubular footrest

We broke nearly all of the black clips that hold our screens in. We went to a hardware store and bought little plastic clips for that hold in screen door screen inserts. Then we removed two screws on each window with screens, inserted the clips under the screws, and reinstalled them with reasonable tightness. In theory we could have left the screws loose enough to allow the clips to pivot out of the way to allow the screens to be removed. But we didn't want to take the chance of introducing a water leak. We only remove the screens once or twice a year for cleaning.

Subject: [Sentoa] clips for screens on sliding windows and clips for holding up the tubular footrest

Thank you all for your info on window coverings. We have a lot of ideas now - just need to take action.

On another subject, does anyone know where to get the plastic clips for the screens on the sliding windows? We have broken a lot of them and need replacements.

The second type of clip that we need is the white plastic clip that holds up the tubular footrest in the pilot house. Anyone have a source for these?
