[Sentoa] Anchor Windlass

David,

On older 32's, one thing you will need to consider is the height of
the windlass. There isn't a platform for the windlass to sit on.
The gunwhale at the bow is too narrow. If you mount the windlass on
the deck (where the non-skid is) the angle of the anchor line running
from the windlass to the anchor roller can be problematic depending
on the windlass. The anchor line needs to run freely without fouling.

On newer 32's, Nordic Tugs extended the bow platform so that the
windlass can be mounted on the same level as the anchor roller.
Recently they've extended the platform even further aft to allow a
Sampson post to be mounted at the same level. I don't know when
these changes were made. My 2001 (32-225) has the extended platform
to hold the windlass, but my Sampson post sits on the deck. I spent
a lot of time cruising on 32-057 (now owned by Charlie Billings) and
there was no extended bow platform on it, no windlass and a Sampson
post on the deck.
