When I replaced all of the interior dome style light fixtures (two 10 watt festoon bulbs/ fixture), I replaced the fixtures with xenon bulb fixtures from Sailor Sam's ( http://www.sailorsams.com/ ) A friend at the club who is in the process of gutting and rebuilding a 45' CHB let me piggy-back my order to his so we ended up purchasing 4 to 5 dozen +/- fixtures (including bulbs) at a reduced "volume" price of approximately 9 bucks each. The 10w xenon bulbs seem to put out more light than the two 10 watt festoon bulbs, and generate a lot less heat than the festoon or the halogen bulbs. LEDs, were too much for my budget.

I have several old style dome lights on my 2002 37'.
While I could replace the two that have broken on and off switches I want to change to LED. The Evil Empire sells Dr. LED lights for a $100 a pop. Defender has ABI LED lights at about $61. Does anyone in the group have experience with either brand.
