I have a stand alone and the one on my Raymarine Autopilot both on my
flybridge. Having both I find I use the Raymarine Autopilot readout
mainly because I have the same readout at the pilot house helm. I din't
need both but it is nice to have a back-up.
Driving a single screw boat without a rudder angle indication is not
only difficult but could be dangerous in tight situations.

Mike,
I consider it a vital display. It's an integral part of many autopilot
displays. Scotty on THREE JEANS has a stand alone Rudder Angle
Indicator on the overhead console.
