I don't know!  I was hoping someone on the list might have experience with the 5milewifi.  Passagemaker reviewed it an issue or 2 ago - seemed to think it was OK.  We are using the RV Wave antenna from radiolabs.com which provides reasonably good results.  Anchored in a harbor for instance, we clip it to the FB rail.  It's ideal for that type of casual use.  Just a single wire - plug in into the usb port on the laptop to connect.  Very convenient, but I'd be surprised if the Wave did even close to a mile, let alone 5.
