[Sentoa] Water heater on 26

Thanks for this Wolfie

I do have a breaker in my AC panel which is not connected to the water heater. My main concern was whether all hot water heaters installed in the earlier 26's had the AC hot water probe. As Charles says, I will have to get a bit more information on the beast but I also think with this information I will be able to open it up and discover whether there is an element installed. I will check it out in the next couple of days.

The front of the heater allows for access to the water lines to disconnect for winterizing. Also in the front under the cover plate are the high temp switch, thermostat and pressure relief valve- all replaceable items. The temp switch and thermostat are connected in series with the 110 AC and might be a source of problems if your 110 AC is otherwise connected. (Our pressure relief valve is leaking which we'll be replacing shortly.)

Catching up on my mail after computer crash. The water heater works well on Wood Duck while using the exchanger. As best I can tell the 110 side of the heater was never connected. Does anyone know if the element is present in all heaters... does it just need to be connected? or are there other issues?

Has anyone replaced their water heater on a 26? Mine is leaking. It is a Seaward 6 gal rectangular shape. The heat exchanger outlets are on the rear of the heater. Are there any reasons for the rear instead of front? It looks like the front exchanger outlets would be easier to install and more accessable for maintenance.
