My $0.02 (Cdn)

Anchor locker leak.

I too had the anchor locker draining into the boat. This note from my log:
"Anchor locker leaks when drain plugged (I thot it was fixed) inserted a
~2" piece of 1/4"? vinyl hose with LifeCaulk."

As I recall there is a copper tube from the anchor locker to the outside
world through the hull just where the base of the locker is glassed to the
hull and rear bulkhead of the anchor locker. After many attempts to stop
this leak I came to the conclusion this copper tube was leaking, cracked
or corroded, and allowing water to seep betwen the hull and base of the
locker. Thus I inserted the vinyl tube inside the copper tube - Lifecaulk
inside and out.

Bow too low.

I prefer to keep the bow as light and as high as possible as I feel a bow
down attitude affects handling especially in following seas. On my 32' the
batteries are on the Stbd side in the ER. I shortened and re-routed the
existing two pairs of winch and thruster cables forward under the shower
sump, both pairs connected at the thruster, one pair from there to the
winch. I use a rope / chain rode.
