Earlier, I wrote:

After doing a bit more research, I understand that the Xantrex Echo~Charger
is also a stand-alone unit.  Virtually identical to most Battery Combiners,
but a bit more expensive.  So while it¹s an option, when compared to the
cost of either tapping off my existing Xantrex Tru-Charge 40+ or purchasing
a small ³float² charger, the combiner becomes the most expensive...and the
Echo~Charge is the most expensive combiner.

We¹ll see what the factory says....
