I also have a Torqueedo motor which I purchased from West Marine a year
ago to power my 8 foot fiberglass "Boss"
I use it mainly for going to and from shore from a anchorage. It may
not be ideal for long excursions since the battery is only good for
about an hour.
The big advantages are no gas to deal with, no starting problems, plus
light weight.
