Yes, the Torqeedo is one of the candidates. It has a lithium manganese  
battery.  Another candidate is the Minn Kota eDrive.  Their website  
is  murky about the battery issue.

How long does it take to recharge the Torqeedo battery?

Where/how do you charge it?  Does it require AC power to charge?  How  
do you know when it is fully-charged?

Has anyone looked at or purchased the Minn Kota?
