[Sentoa] Vacuum Gauge

Hi Bill,
Chip is spot on about the vacuum line you also want to make sure the
fitting do not allow and air to leak into the system at fitting I would
suggest good Swagelok or some other type of compression fitting and
tubing. Some people us hose and push-on fitting these are okay if you
clamp them.
You don't need to wary much about collapsing as the vacuum is so low.
If you are having fuel system issues I would be looking for leaks ware
air is being pulled in to the system. You can have a vacuum leak
pulling air in that you will not have a fluid leaking out of the fitting
when not running the engine. The best way to check is to put a clear
section of hose in the system before the RACOR type filter if you do not
see any air bubbles then remove and install at the engine fuel
connection.
Once you get into the on engine system I would suggest you call the
engine mechanic and if you are not much of a shade tree or shade dock
mechanic I would pay for the pro to check out the system.

thanks for the info, I am having problems with fuel delivery from the
tank to the engine, even with new filters. it will be easier seeing
whats going on while running.

I have my vacuum gauge mounted on my dash and have no problems. Just be
sure to use tubing that will not collapse from the vacuum.
