[Sentoa] Engine overheating

The High Temp alarm went off this morning when I increased the revs from
2000 to 2200-2400. The temp gauge, not very reliable, also showed readings
above 200. Decreasing the revs brought the temp down; increasing, set the alarms
off. I turned around and headed a few miles back in to port.
The coolant level was where it should have been. The raw water intake and
strainer seem free. My guess is that the problem is the impeller rather than
the heat exchanger.
Fortunately, I have a spare Sherwood fresh water pump. One of the tug
captains on this net once commented that it is much easier to swap a rebuilt fresh
water pump than to change an impeller in the engine room! The Cummins manual
seems to agree.
Does anyone know what the pump model is? Does anyone know a good source for
impellers and gaskets?
Thanks!
