Hi, Jeff. I installed an ESI fuel polishing system on my N/T 42 last summer. I recommend the ESI unit because it was everything I was told it would be and is very well constructed. However, I strongly recommend the A/C versions as it takes several hours to polish a tank full of fuel. The A/C motor gets quite warm during polishing so I know it is working hard and I just don't think a D/C motor is the way to go. It would draw a lot of current and work your batteries quite extensively. By the way, installation is quite involved so if you're not really handy, count on having a pro do the installation. Also, pay close attention to the size of the area in which you are installing the unit as you need substantial clearance for removal of the primary filter. Hope this helps.
