Kirk,
Two months back my fuel pump went out about 20 miles from our home port. There were no Boat US tow providers in the area and we have Boat US towing insurance. After many phone calls we found someone to come get us the next day. I sent the bill to Boat US and they paid quickly without any questions.
Just last week at our yacht club an announcement was made that Boat US is putting five boats on our half of the Tennessee River. I know it does not apply to you, but Boat US just dropped the unlimited towing on fresh water to about $30.00 a year.
I guess what I am saying is, I really like Boat US.

Subject: [Sentoa] Sea Tow - Tow Boat US
While I was a sailor I had the basic tow package with Boat US. Now with only
one means of propulsion I have up graded to the unlimited package. I believe
this was about 95$. The tow package from Sea Tow is $149. My area of
yachting is based out of Hilton Head Island, SC with forays
into GA, NC, VA & MD typically on the ICW or near coastal.
Are their any opinions out there on what company would be the best or should
I have a policy with both companies? Please share any good or bad
experiences.
