Jerry,

Would a top from one of the new 26s direct from the factory be an option?

Subject: [Sentoa] Cabin roof

Folks,
i know it is early, only got a few hours on the Water Horse
this short season so far, but talking to my boat guy about
scheduling 08-09 shop time! Gulp!
--
Water Horse has had a rough time in the last 20 or so years.
Cabin top was leaking for a long time, and now the wood between
the outer and inner fiberglass sandwich is rotted, like black crumbly
dust!
--
Boat guy wants to take the roof off (!) to apply a new wood core
and fiberglass ceiling. Has anybody ever heard of this being done?
How is the roof attached to the walls? i have concerns about doing
this big of a job. Maybe we are better off replacing the rotted areas
in smaller pieces from beneath. Any advice? Please?
