Thanks Ron, I found them all – four broken vanes and four pieces that fit. Needed a skinny pliers to extract from the elbow but I got them all. We just started it 20 minutes ago and am checking for leaks. So far so good.

Don't forget to hunt down all the pieces if some are missing when you take it out. From experience I can tell you that they will fall back down into the new one at some point and tear it up. The will be toward the heat exchanger. My NL has a small port in the elbow next to the heat exchanger. I use an extra long set of tweezers to pick out the pieces. Sometimes you can squirt a little water up the hose and make them fall out.

Good luck

I wouldn't be surprised if it is you impeller.

My genset is in a sound box. In this case, I found it easier to remove the right hand (in my case) side, rather than try to work around the tight space.

I also found it easier to remove the entire water pump and replace the impeller with it removed, rather than try to remove the pump cover and impeller in place.

Actually, it's not too bad a job, once you have done it one time.

Last night the genset shutdown with 7 flashes meaning raw water. The strainer was clear, so I’m assuming it’s either something blocking from the intake under the boat, or the impeller. I’ve got spare impellers, but haven’t done it before. It doesn’t look to bad looking in the manual, but has anyone done it and can provide insight, would be great.

		Thanks,
