 Mike,

The Southern Caribbean sounds pretty good.  We were planning on hitting
brazil and then making our way up there for the hurricane season as well,
but after getting the dockwise quote, ended up in florida. 
We had a great time in the Med.  Arrived in Ceuta in Aug. 07, then Gib,
Barcelona, Portofino, Rome, Sicily, Malta, Crete, Israel, Egypt, Suez,
Red Sea, back to Israel, Turkey, Greece, Malta, Sardinia, Barcelona and
finally Palma.(left Palma Feb.09)  Wonderful experience.  But it is great
to be back in North America.   My wife has written fairly extensively

more details. 

Where are you going in Panama?

  We're back from the Med and now in SE Florida. We had planned on
  doing the
  trip on our own bottom, but shipping rates came down so much, I was
  able to
  go via dockwise(Palma-Everglades) at a pretty decent rate.
  I think we will be here until next fall at which point we'll be
  heading down
  to Georgetown for a few months. Any other cats planning on doing that
  run?

  Have you made a run up to Bermuda yet?

  Mike,
  I own a Maryland 37 2005 model and have had the boat in the V.I.'s
  for the last three years sailing the local waters. I am planning a
  trip down island to Trinidad for the hurricane season and then across
  Venezuela to Panama while also taking in the A B C's as well. I plan
  to stay in the southern caribbean but your Med trip sounds
  interesting. Where did you go while in the Med.

  Anyone planning to cruise Canadian waterways such as Trent-Severn? Be
  great to see some powercats up here.

  We're headed to Ottawa via the Rideau Canal in June, then aim check
  out the St. Lawrence River in September.
