I think if you must have all of the amenities of the affluent
shore-side lifestyle with you at all times, it might be better to stay home.
That is quite a statement. Why should one give up the best life anyone wants.
I started with the barest of catamarans and cruised thousands of miles. As
time went by things allowed me to have a better and more comfortable boat. I
never once thought that I should give up all the amenities for any reason. It
was not that we must have these things, if the boat can have them why not.
Never once did I think I should stay home. The most important thing to do, if
that is what your heart desires, is to get a boat and sail off into the
sunset.
When we cruise we are every bit as comfortable as being at home. In many ways
even more so. On the boat we still are a two car family. We still have water
at our front door. We eat every bit as good or better than at home. The boat
has several appliances that we don't have at home. Just think if we don't like
where our home is at the moment we can move it to anywhere on earth. Our
friends almost beg to come and visit. The sunsets and sunrises are much better
on the boat.
Everyone should live their life and get the most comfortable boat they desire
if they can.
