Ron,

You're right, I've got no experience with the Manta, I'm only repeating what
I've been told.

I do however have direct experience with the PDQ 34. We have averaged less
than 4 gallons/hour with a cruising speed of 15-16 Knots. On our ICW trip
south last fall we averaged 3.1 miles per gallon.

Complete figures for Sno' Dog are posted at:

FYI; our Endeavour 44 burns about 13.5 to 14 GPH "at speed"; which
to us is our cruising speed of 15 - 16 knots at 3100 rpm. I've found
these numbers to be fairly consistent over the 4 years that we've been
cruising. I am quite skeptical of the claim that the Manta 44's
"consumption at speed is about half that of the Endeavour 44". I'm not
sure how many of Manta's new 44' cats are actually out there on the water
but, if they can REALLY cruise "at speed" on only 7 gph, they're sure to
sell a whole bunch of them!!
