Not only is the Manta good looking, it's also very fuel efficient. From
what I've heard, consumption at speed is about half that of the Endeavour 44.

Because there so many things to consider when choosing a boat, each person's
list of priorities will inevitably result in different choices. For us, the
appearance and efficiency of the Manta 44 were strong positives, but the
wide beam, lack of flying bridge and price were negatives.

At the Annapolis Boat show last fall, I took a photo of all the powercats
lined up (which can be seen at: www.geocities.com/snodoglog/Manta44.html ) and
I made the comment: "the yellow-hulled Manta 44 comports itself rather well
in this line-up". Even though we're now PDQ owners, I devoted a whole page
to the Manta because I think it is a very creditable design - certainly
deserving of consideration by any serious powercat buyer.

I guess Rod forgot the Manta 44 when he stated the Endeavourcat was "the only
game in town".
