All hands--

Tim Jordaan of Aventure Power Catamarans informs that he'll be
showing the new Aventure 50 at the boat show in Palm Beach, Florida,
starting on March 22.

Aventure now has a new site at
<http://www.aventure-powercatamaran.com> showcasing its four models
built in South Africa.

Development continues on the interesting wind-assisted Aventure passagemaker:

Writes Tim: "The huge asymmetrical with socks are not a problem, it
is still the kite, but that will be sorted. The expectations as per
the VPP program gives us good speeds of 8 to 12 knots on reaching
conditions in 15 to 20 knots of true wind.

"So, as a proper power catamaran that can top 23 knots under power,
and more if need be, she still sails extremely well in the right
conditions. Truly a great long-range true power catamaran."

Here's a question that he'd like feedback on:

"As 90% of all our equipment is bought in the U.S., I am
thinking about completing a motor-away power catamaran, installing
all the electrical, plumbing, electronic, AC ducts, and sea-cocks and
let the the buyer fit the units at a later date. This would put the
buyer on the water, and during winter he can fit equipment to his
wants and needs. Gives the client also a good reason the go to the
shows, and chat on your list about different solutions and products.

"I would make the start-up package affordable, completing the
outsides of the Aventure Power Catamaran
as it always appears. Have any thoughts on that?"
