 Since I see that you are in Oz, contact Noosacat in Australia, they put a
pair of these Volvo's on one of their planning Cat's about a year or so
ago!! After the initial PR splash, there has been very little in the news
about it!! Volvo have occasionally used this installation in their ads!!

I don't know of any other Cat yard in OZ following them!! But then it could

just be due to local conditions as the water is pretty thin in many of the
popular boating areas in OZ!! This is why I went to 250 HP Suzuki's on my 40

ft Cougar Cat after owning a Nooscat with Yanmars in it. Second benefit is
that one can keep the props clean by keeping them out of the water when the

boat is not in use.

The boating world needs a light diesel outboard!!

I think AfriCat is planning on installing Volvo IPS systems.

How about retractable rim-drive units? You might work these partially
retracted as well. And you could service them without hauling the vessel each
time??    On the horizon...
