On the Aventure 50 we fitted bilge pumps in each
compartment that should exceeded any amount of
water that could come through those sea-cocks.
(broken pipe etc)

In the engine room we did the same capacity in
bilge pumps to handle the 3 sea-cocks and stern
tube in each hull.

Now assuming you have holed the boat and the
engines are still running, which should not have
been affected by a hole in the boat, we have a
diverter valve on the engine intake which then
allows us to evacuate water rapidly via the
engine as well as all the other pumps.

If the water flows from hull to the next we have
once again all those bilge pumps and engine
capacity, if these 10 pumps and the 2 engines
cannot contain the leak it is time to make other
decisions.
