The pentamaran lies to the dock better...A properly
designed cruising version could have ample reserve
bouyancy in the forward floats to stay much drier in
rough conditions than an all-out piercer like
Earthrace, while most of the time running on the
minimal wetted surface of the after floats and center
hull.
