Hi

The PT 32 was a prototype for a 70 ft for the pacific trade.

It was 8'6" wide and I considered it a geriatric special with wide side
decks and high coamings

It ran fine with a 40 HP. we put a 100 on it since it was a 3 step
planing hull

I think a Displacement hull for extended cruising would work fine but
generally a tri needs 1/3 more length for the capacity and volume. It
would be narrower then the comparable cat. for ease of docking and
handling.

Anyway don't think anyone else has tried it yet.

Details are available at Trikini.com which is a mirror site and may not
be fully functional

PS wish I still had it but a weird turn of events made giving it
(virtually ) away and then the plans fell apart. Have the 6.09 and have
several times considered converting it to a power tri.

There are some sketches in the whats new section
