[PUP] Un-Charted Objects

There seems to be significant discussion on "un-charted" obstacles and how
best to avoid them. It seems to me that if this is of paramount importance
for the safety of boat, crew, and guests, then the 3-D Forward Looking Sonar
product from FarSounder would be the best product available today to prevent
"contacts-of-the-wrong-kind". (http://www.farsounder.com
<http://www.farsounder.com/> ) The product is expensive but, so is the boat
and what price does one put on the lives of crew and guests.  They are also
working with the military/governments to identify underwater security
issues. The demo on their web site runs on MS Vista but I found that when
done using the demo I had to do a system restore to get the computer working
correctly again. Maybe this was just me but it was not a major problem, just
an inconvenience. I believe they mention that the demo is supposed to work
on Windows XP.
