[PUP] Handheld Chartplotters (Stan)

 I use a magellan mobile mapper 6 with memory map chartplotting software. It
nicely handles my noaa and canadian bsb raster charts. It is kinda a swiss
army knife of devices with a flux gate compas, excellent gps, camera,
flashlite and a bunch of other stuff in a fairly bulletproof case. I
particularly like the fact that it uses AA batteries and I know for a fact
that the screen will stay fully bright while tracking/logging the position
of the vessel for at least 5 hours on one set of batteries. I do not know
how long the batteries actually last because in my survey work I change them
daily.

I bought one of the first magellan gps's years ago and felt so burned by the
company that I swore I would never buy another magellan product. This little
hand held made me change my mind ....
