In response to the AIS transmitting, we have found it increases your
credibility with the pros.  When you call them be name and announce your
intention to pass on the 1 or the 2 whistle, you will always get a positive
reply. It tells them you are a cut above and know what you are doing (even
if you don't really!!!)
