Saw the Frenchman and the cats while we had dinner 50 feet away.
Walked to Sloppy Joes but didn't have any Red Headed Sluts, but now we
have that to look forward to tomorrow!

What a voyage! 1113 miles from the San Blas to Key West. Following
seas and winds 95% of the time. 7.3 knot average, average over the
whole trip! Having Dwight to help keep watch was an amazing
experience. I've never enjoyed nights soo much. It was a completly
different experience.

I can't say how happy I am to be back in the U.S. of A. Don't get me
wrong we loved all of Mexico and Central America, but there is no
place like home. I only wish Marian was here to enjoy it with me.

Two nights ago just about sunset we were about to pull in the fishing
lines when we got a double headder of Dorado. We got both to the back
of the boat but lost one when the gaff slipped out of him. The other
one was consumed immediatly, that night and the next. Today we had
something huge hit the line and we lost the lure. We also landed
another Dorado and a Baracuda.

As we approached Key West it was like an oily sea, lazy swells and
wind ripples. The perfect end to a wonderful voyage. Perhaps my only
real passage on my own? We did have a few problems:

a. Dwight dropped a can of pringles and it took 5 minutes to clean them up
b. I wasn't able to do the oil change before we left so I went a few
hours beyond the recommended change interval. I'll catch that first
thing tomorrow.
c. We lost one hook and one fishing lure.

that's it, really, that's all that was an issue on this trip. The PAE
Nordhavn never missed a beat, no problems at all! Great boat, love my
BIG FAT NORDHAVN!!!!
