Sad news received this morning:

> I've just returned from three weeks in Trinidad and had a tour
>of Passagemaker a few days after she had been moved from Crews Inn
>to Power Boats Marina. I'm sad to say that the pictures from 2004
>have absolutely no relationship to the present condition of the
>boat. Passagemaker has been ransacked and is disheveled to say the
>least. I barely recognize Passagemaker from the pictures on the site
>and I think it will take a lot of love & money to save her from
>further deterioration. I didn't get a hard dollar figure for the
>boat when I was on it, but I got the impression that almost any
>offer would be better than nothing and would probably be considered
>if not accepted. I hate to bring you this bad news, but Trinidad
>seems to be the end of the line for a lot of cruisers and the
>graveyard for their boats.

Unfortunately, there was no real interest in raising money among the
handful of fans of the old girl that I brought together, and,
unfortunately, no one person was interested in buying the boat even
when she was still in good shape.

An illustrious chapter in trawlering history is about to end.
