>Great American has held the multihull record for 19 years.

Thanks, Peter, for thinking of me. If 10 men sailing a 110-foot
catamaran with a multi-million budget cannot break my multihull
record AND the open record, then they'll have failed miserably.

For those interested in speed-sailing on a grand scale, the far more
interesting race at the moment is the one by Frank Cammas and his
crew aboard a 105-foot trimaran chasing after the 50-day
around-the-world record.

Imagine averaging 25 knots over almost two months at sea. Encroyable!
