Just to add a suggestion, When I built this boat in "06" (a 48'steel
trawler) I looked at lots of systems and finally decided on a two
drawer U-line refrigerator built into counter and a Norcold portable
freezer chest which we put in pilot house with a cushion on top. We
cruise now only 4 to 5 months a year to BC and AK and find both units
work well fairly efficient and are not expensive. After all its not
the looks but the service that is important . God Bless - Ross 10&2

Common sense stuff like thermal performance of insulation and thickness, accuracy of themostat and dead zone or dither, etc. EIther they didn't know, or claimed it proprietary information. Proprietary information!? This is a boatbuilder's conference. We need to know.

They are one of the most expensive consumer home style units around. You would expect more.
