Emerald Harbor has a good reputation in Seattle.

We have a friend who just finished delivery of an Alaskan 64 and the work
was good.

I just finished an Alaskan 62 flushdeck at Seattle Yacht Service and found
its work excellent. I have been using Seattle Yacht Service for ten years
and recommend them.

Subject: [PUP] Emerald Harbor Marina - Seattle

My wife and I are the purchasers of a Nordhavn 64, which is on board a
freighter bound from Taiwan to the U.S. We had planned to have the boat
commissioned in Dana Point, Nordhavn's headquarters, but the option now
presents itself to have commissioning done in Seattle at Emerald Harbor
Marine. We are considering the Seattle option because we want to cruise
Alaska next summer and we would thus avoid the run from Dana Point to
Seattle next April or May, plus avoid "hanging around" northern Mexico for a
couple of months or so between completion of commissioning in Dana Point
and suitable weather for the transit north. Our electronics are being
installed by Alcom Marine, which has stated its preference for Dana Point,
because of its proximity.

I'd be interested in hearing your candid assessments of the capabilities of
Emerald Harbor Marine. If you want to respond "offline," please do so to me
at tim at timandclair.com.

All such communications will be held in strictest confidence by me.

Unfortunately, I must make my decision no later than tomorrow, so a prompt
response would be appreciated.

Thanks.
