I'm new here. If it hasn't already been done 50 times, can whoever the forum
administrator is give a short description of this list, and contrast it with
the T&T list?

General boat focused issues are poor topics to kick around on this 
forum. Not because of any philosophical grounds or because of any 
supposed guidelines from the admin, but simply because this forum has 
about 1/10 the number of participants as the Trawlers and Trawlering forum.

The result is that there are far, far fewer people and expertise to 
contribute to the discussion. The lightning issue is a case in point.
