Past experience with peer-2-peer software (i.e. Kazaa,
Napster, etc) had some very, very bad unintended
consequences - it was perniscious and very difficult
to cure. Under the heading of "no free lunch," P2P
software has the reputation of installing hidden
malware, spyware, key-loggers, and other hooks that
prowl places of your PC that either you or your
operating system would prefer not to be prowled.
In short, installing P2P software is very high risk. I
do not specifically know of eMule, but I would
categorize it as high risk.
