On our last trip we arrived off Cabo at about 10 PM--heard all of the 
discos, looked at each other and went directly on to LA Paz--no hassel 
there.

The other thing we do, is to cook most of the meat (don't eat stakes) in 
dishes which are frozen--thus we have no raw meat.  The other advantage of 
this is that you have meals ready to microwave in seal a meal vacuum bags.
