[PUP] US Passports Fast and Cost Effective

My recent (successful) experience getting a US passport left me
pretty impressed by the US Department of State passport people. I'm
a Libertarian, and not easily impressed by government offices--but my
application, which was much more complicated than most (long story)
went pretty smoothly. They have it set up so you can check on the
process both on-line and by talking to actual humans on the phone.

When it became necessary to expedite the application, it cost $60
additional plus around $12 for overnighting it to me.

I have no experience whatsoever with visas, but for just getting a
passport, I don't think many people would gain much by going through
a third party.

Cheers

John
