[PUP] Thoughts on piracy

Three things seem to terrify our listees beyond normal paranoya. Hitting a
sunken container, being run down by a ship, and pirates. I would bet that if
all of these were combined in number of occurences, then divided by the
number of cruisers out there, the statistics would prove that I'm in more
danger driving to the corner convenience store for a bag of sugar on a
Tuesday evening, even in our little rural town. It's easy to find scary
things, and that makes it even easier to ignore things that seem to be
beyond our control, like weather, wind and waves. When I leave to go
cruising my concern for pirates, containers, and ships will be very close to
zero, with ships getting the majority of that concern, only because they
don't like being bumped into and make a really big deal about it. However, I
have a huge concern for weather conditions and mechanical catastrophies,
fire and flooding also keep me awake some nights, these are the areas that I
put the most effort into containing and preventing. The "big three" won't
slow me down.
