{;*)) It's called Dead Reckoning because you use it when everything else
(except your compass and watch) is dead. Actually, on a trip from Cape May
to Martha's Vineyard my crew insisted that we maintain a DR plot on a paper
chart to record our GPS/plotter positions. Our log also recorded these
hourly positions plus weather and sail configuration.
